Although we do not work with Medicare and Medicaid at this time, we have thus far been accepted by every Long-Term Care insurance provider who has received a claim for our services. We are happy to assist you in filing a claim with your Long-Term Care insurance company.
Yes, we do. We maintain up-to-date records of each caregiver’s Driver License and auto insurance coverage. Life & Health Care is available to provide transportation to and from appointments, errands, or other social gatherings. See Errands and Transportation for more information.
Honesty and integrity are critical values we hold at Life & Health Care, and we work to maintain the highest level of integrity in all we do. When shopping with clients, Life & Health Care’s caregivers are required to provide the office with duplicate receipts of all transactions, which have been initialed by the client or a family member.
Although we are not tax advisors, because we have a physician-approved plan of care for each of our clients, some of the expenses you may incur due to our services may be used for tax write-offs. We recommend you speak with a tax advisor for further understanding of tax implications.
Yes, we do provide services at night and on weekends. In fact, Life & Health Care services are available at all times of the day and night, including weekends and all holidays.
Yes, Life & Health Care services are available in much of north Iowa. We do, however, charge a mileage rate for clients outside of city limits to compensate our caregivers for vehicle expenses.
Yes, our nursing team provides regular in-home visits for routine nursing assessments, including medication management. See Medication Management for more details.
Yes, the minimum duration for a caregiver’s visit with a client is 3 hours. Shifts may range anywhere from 3 to 24 hours at a time.
